It was another chilly 4 degrees start to the day. Ala-Bel pass had a good tarmac surface to start with so this helped for a progressive start,
however, the amazing scenery meant my photo stops soon put an end to that progress and the rest of the group were soon passing me by.
Then there was the gravel roads again and more pot hold
tarmac with a few muddy bits in between. On some of the roads it was near on
impossible to miss the holes as even the outer 6 inches where I often find a
smoother surface had dips and holes in it. But this aside, the scenery made up
for it so all in all it was a good days riding.
